It’s important to note that all the shower screens we supply are a minimum of 8mm thick and toughened safety glass. This is treated by heat to change its internal molecular structure and makes it 4-5 times stronger than normal glass. This treatment is essential when supplying a glass shower screen as it ensures the safety of any users. All shower screens have a ‘nominal’ width stated which allows for tiling and any adjustments to the wall profile (the piece that fixes the screen to the wall). This means that your actual glass panel will be slightly smaller than the nominal size.
